Aurora Deck Lighting Heavy Duty 12-2 Low Voltage Wire is rated for burial and used for perimeter wiring. The heavy duty wire is available in 100, 250 and 500 foot lengths. Aurora Deck Lighting recommends 12 gauge low voltage wire because it is low resistance, allowing for it to go a further distance. 12 gauge wiring is easy to work with for A/C lighting. This is because A/C current flows both directions. Lights will light up, regardless of how you attach it to the 12 gauge wire.
