How & Where We Ship

  • Our online checkout process currently only allows for orders that are shipped to the United States. As always, you can contact us for more information.
  • A large number of the items on our site are shipped directly from our vendors. As a result, you may receive different packages if you purchase more than one item from our various product lines. This may also result in receiving packages on different days. You will not be penalized by higher shipping charges.
  • All orders to the contiguous 48 states are shipped via UPS, FedEx or USPS. When ordering, please do not provide a P.O. Box if your shipment is being sent via UPS or FedEx as they cannot deliver to a P.O. Box.
  • Canada, Hawaii and Alaska - Unfortunately we do not ship these location.

Semi Truck Deliveries

Shipping home and deck projects means we work with some huge, heavy products. When an order is heavy or bulky enough, we ship it to you on a semi truck - you'll sometimes see this called an LTL or freight delivery.

Below, you can learn what to expect and how to prepare when your order needs a Semi Truck Delivery from DIY Home Center.

What To Expect:

Step 1: Watch for our email.

Our team carefully packs your order onto a pallet to make sure everything ships safely. We'll send you an email when it's left our warehouse!

Step 2: Schedule a delivery time.

Your project is precious - so we make sure you're there to receive it when it arrives. The shipping company will call you to arrange a time, and then the truck will meet you at your delivery site.

Step 3: Inspect & unload your order.

The truck will meet you at your delivery site at the time you scheduled. You'll have a 30-minute window to unload your order from the truck. This gives you a chance to personally inspect each piece to make sure nothing was damaged in transit.

Step 4: Sign for your order.

Don't sign for your order until after you've unloaded all your items. It's rare, but if anything arrives missing or damaged, we'll file a claim with the shipping company so you don't have to. Make a note of any damages on the shipping receipt and take pictures of the packaging and the items.

Please contact us online or call us at (800) 666-9367 immediately. Send your photos so we can work to set things right! Shipping companies typically have a three-day window to file claims, so the sooner we get your information and photos, the quicker we can start solving the problem.

What You Need To Know:

DIY Home Center offers three Semi Truck Delivery options:

  • Hand Unload (default): this is the standard, default method for online orders. You will unload your order from the truck by hand to make sure all your items are in perfect condition.
  • Liftgate: some medium-sized orders can arrive in a truck with a liftgate that lowers your order down onto your driveway. Call us to set up this method.
  • Flatbed & Forklift: some large orders can ship to you on a flatbed truck with a mounted forklift called a moffett. Call us to set up this method.

If you want to change your delivery method, call us as soon as possible at (800) 666-9367. Our team will help you explore all the available options for your area. For any of the three Semi Truck Delivery Methods, you'll need to meet the truck in person to sign for your order - we make sure to give you a chance to inspect everything right when it arrives.

Specialty Delivery Options

Liftgate deliveries follow the same basic steps. Make sure your delivery site has a flat surface where the truck's liftgate can lower and place your order. Instead of you hand unloading in Step 3, the truck driver will lower your order to the ground with the liftgate before you sign for it.

Flatbed & forklift deliveries follow the same basic steps. Make sure your delivery site is accessible to a long flatbed truck and that the forklift has room to turn around. You'll need a flat surface at your delivery site where the forklift can set your order. Instead of you hand unloading in Step 3, the truck driver will use the forklift to place your order on the ground at your site before you sign for it.
