Description

Starborn Deckfast Trim Head Exterior Wood Screws provide unmatched performance and ease of use. Featuring a reinforced trim head with nibs for greater strength and better countersinking and an extra-deep recessed star drive to prevent cam-out. The type 17 auger tip provides faster, easier entry and helps to prevent board splitting. These high-quality screws are available in color-matched epoxy-coated carbon steel for pressure-treated decking applications, as well as 305-grade and 316-marine-grade stainless steel for hardwood, cedar, redwood, and pressure-treated trim and finish applications. The epoxy-based polymer resin coating is specially-formulated to provide excellent corrosion resistance with high adhesion so that the coating remains intact during installation. Note: For saltwater or other areas where corrosion is a concern, use marine-grade 316 stainless steel screws.

For a clean and professional finish, install Deckfast screws with the Smart-Bit Depth Setter Tool (sold separately). Note: Pre-drilling is required for hardwoods and in all cases when fastening within 1-1/2" from the end of a deck board. For these instances, use the Smart-Bit Pre-Drilling & Countersinking Tool (sold separately).
